High Plains Drifter

From east to west, the High Plains rise in elevation from around 1,160 feet (350 m) to over 7,800 feet (2,400 m). My path takes me to western Kansas and the northernmost reaches of the Oklahoma Panhandle. The hills are rolling and the vastness of the landscape is solitary, peaceful and beautiful in all directions.
Steady, and sometimes intense, winds prevail from the west and drive drifters like me ever further down the road.
